Denver Mothers and More

Every year we participate in a Mother's Day campaign to raise awareness of issues facing mothers in America today. This year we have chosen to do something called a Power of a Purse.

The Power of a Purse Mother’s Day Campaign is designed to raise awareness of mothers’ economic issues through the act of collecting new or gently used purses for mothers in need. The purse symbolizes a woman's economic power, something we wish for all women, especially mothers in need. No matter where a mother is on the social ladder, there is “power in her purse” having money of her own to control, to buy things and provide for herself and her children. It is symbolic of independence and is empowering. Mothers & More’s goal is to collect 10,000 purses for mothers in need this Mother’s Day.

The 5 Denver area chapters of Mothers & More are collecting purses for local women's charities including the Haven in Denver and are looking for your help! To join/sponsor us, donate items, set up a collection bin at your location or if you know of an organization in need, please contact us at popdenvermothersandmore@yahoo.com. We will be hosting a Mother's Day celebration for the residents of the Haven on April 25th. We look forward to your support!
